"Our National Anthem and Mehmet Akif Ersoy Exhibition" speech of our Head of Department

Following the decision of the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly to make 2021 the "Year of the National Anthem", all public institutions and organizations are organizing events to commemorate the adoption of the National Anthem and Mehmet Akif Ersoy in order to explain the meaning of the national anthem and the importance of the War of Independence.

In this context, the opening of the exhibition "Our National Anthem and Mehmet Akif Ersoy in the 100th Anniversary of its Acceptance", prepared by the Department of Library and Documentation of Trakya University and hosted by Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University (ÇOMÜ), was held in the Dean's Office Building Foyer of ÇOMÜ Faculty of Education. 

Our Head of Department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cahide Sınmaz Sönmez, made a speech about the 100th anniversary of the acceptance of our National Anthem and the importance of Mehmet Akif Ersoy in this meaning; "I commemorate Mehmet Akif Ersoy, who made us experience this pride for 100 years, with mercy and love, and I thank those who contributed to the event."
